The Readiness Check also has a "Helping Your Child" and additional resources including grade level expectations, an emotional checklist, getting ready for parent-teacher conference, and assessment expectations.

Comment:  This is a very useful tool and simple tool to get a an glimpse of reading and math readiness. Parents don't always know what is academically expected of their child at each grade level. This tool gives an idea, although not comprehensive, of what their child should know and the readiness for a specific grade level. Using the tool, will not only check for readiness, but the parent will be exposed to the types of academic challenges their children face.
