The 74 Interview: Harvard’s Karen Mapp on ESSA, Family Engagement, and How Schools and Communities Can Partner to Help Kids Succeed

In this interview, Dr. Karen Mapp, Senior Lecturer at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, addresses the subtle, but important, change from "parent involvement" to "family engagement." This change encompasses the inclusive nature of engagement to "any adult caretaker that rises to take care of our children."

Comment:  It is a must read for family engagement leaders. It provides the perspective of what we did and how we grow going forward.
