Measuring Parent Engagement: Early Lessons Learned from the CA School Dashboard
After two years of the LCAP Priority 3 Parent Engagement implementation, lessons have been learned about measuring the effectiveness of the component.
The takeaway is that self-reporting measurement by districts various considerably and the need for the State to step-in and create a standard measurement tool as it has done for other LCAP components.
If the adage of, “you get what you measure” holds true, then the measurement of Parent Engagement needs refinement by the State.
